About Us
MORVEN ELECTRONICS Ltd was established in 1988 as a design consultancy for power conversion products and commenced manufacturing in 1992.
Our design expertise covers off-line switch mode and linear power supplies, DC-DC Converters, DC-AC Inverters, battery chargers and battery-backed systems. Units are produced in the range 50 watts to 7 kilowatts.
The company's traditional business is custom specials and the customer base includes many top companies in the telecommunications, computer peripherals and professional audio fields, although the Morven name rarely appears on the products!
Many of the products on this website were manufactured by Morven in Scotland (and by VxI Power in England from January 2005), although we also offer carefully selected products from other sources which equal the quality and reliability of our own designs.
The company moved to a larger factory in 1994 and again in November 1999, allowing us to expand both our manufacturing capability and also our engineering department. Following a decision in 2004 to close our manufacturing facility, the products will now be manufactured in the City of Lincoln by VxI Power Ltd.
